A summary of the events of the last months and. years, by Christina Rohde-Tsioros, lawyer. Her accounts of her experiences with the local authorities, the authorities in Athens responsible for animal welfare, and the opponents of foreign animal welfare efforts (Garagouni and consorts) could hardly be more alarming.. They are an unbelievable testimonial of the events in Athens, which only seem to have one goal: they want all foreign animal welfare supporters out of the country and to this end they are using all sorts of underhand tactics. This article also contains a summary of an Alter television programme with Mrs. Garagouni.

 While the virulent campaign of the Greek media against us intensifies nothing has improved as for the everyday cruelty to animals. On the contrary, some people vent their frustrations or whatever more and more often on the animals: Sabienne – First they mangled her shoulder, and then they set her on fire. It is an unbelievably cruel but also a wonderful story because Sabienne’s name is now Hazel and she lives happily ever after with Ralf Suhr, member of Noah’s Ark’s board…
